Condolence: This man will always hold a special place in my heart. Jerry is one of the kindest, dedicated and caring persons you would ever want to be associated with. He dearly loved his wife Barbara and his children Lynn and Debra. I met Jerry in the fall of 1961 when I went to work for JM Smith Auto Supply on Little York Road. We became close friends while working together. Jerry taught me a lot about the automotive industry. Not only how to sell auto parts but how to do machine work, valve jobs, milling heads, boring engines and how to put them together. He had a mechanical mind that was out of this world. As time went on, we went our separate ways due to employment and family however we did stay in touch. I know he is now teaching others how to repair that trumpet because the keys aren't working properly.
Friend Forever....James Rucker
Condolence: As a rookie at 32’s in the early 80’s I remember Jerry as being a kind, considerate FF and as an “old head” showed us rookies the ropes. Lots of great memories with him, J.O., Moffett, Smitty, Hendrix, Nye, Meadows, Garza, Willie, Jones, Capts Barr and Pavlock. I know I left someone out. 😄
