Nelson Anthony Ryals, age 36, of New Caney, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2023. Born on November 21, 1986, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Nelson was known for his caring nature, genuine charm, and an uncanny ability to bring fun wherever he went. He was a conductor of fun, a steam engine of genuine love, care, and silliness. He was a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones.
Nelson is survived by his adoring wife and soulmate, Cecelia, his children, Alex, Jared, Ava, Oliver, and Aria. He also leaves behind his mother Benny Kay, his father Tony, and brothers David and Dylan, along with his dear friends, Samanthia, Catherine, Stephen, Daniel, and Ryan. Nelson was preceded in death by his Grandmal Jean, his uncles, Sonny and Glen, and his aunt Nancy.
Nelson attended New Caney High School and furthered his education at Lonestar College. He pursued a career as a Signal Man Engineer at Union Pacific Railroad, where he dedicated his skills and passion, making sure the trains always stayed on the right track.
Nelson had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He was an avid Astros baseball fan and enjoyed following the team's journey. He also had an interest in collecting firearms and antique video games with his son Alex. Alongside his Wonder Woman, Cece, he was Batman, always ready to defend his children. The Simpsons served as a constant source of giggles, showcasing Nelson's silly side.
As we bid farewell to our locomotive of laughter, let us remember that Nelson may have left the platform, but his spirit keeps chugging along. He will forever be the engineer of our fondest memories, and the conductor of our smiles.
He will forever be missed and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us, reminding us to always live a life of passion and laughter.
