Obituary for
Luther A Calloway III
Luther A Calloway III (Chip) age 66 entered into his eternal home in heaven on Wednesday 23, 2023 in Humble, TX, with his immediate family and closest friends by his side.
The passing of Chip saddens and breaks our hearts; He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a dear friend to many.
Chip’s journey began with the US Marines Corps in February of 1977. After serving his country for four years, Chip became a police officer in Atlanta, Georgia, where he joined the SWAT team.
Chip later began a career in the baking industry, 22 years with McDonalds and 19 years with Flowers Baking.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Chip cherished quality moments with his loyal friends and family. An avid golfer, he would spend a week in Utah each fall, visiting family and, of course, golfing, yeah Buddy!
Chip is proceeded in death by his mother Joyce (Van Dewerker) Calloway; father Luther A. Calloway II, sister Brenda (Calloway) Hall, and son Dominic Calzado, grandbabies Mateo & Xochytl Albarran.
Chip leaves behind a grieving, yet proud family including his wife Maria Calloway, daughter Ashley (Carlos) Calzado, and grandchildren Dani, Jaxon and Ximena. His sister Valerie (Marion) Lindsay, Jannie Tharp, Nina (Bob) Rizer, Gricel (Alfredo) Arellano, Monica Alvear, niece Leisha Lindsay, nephews Casey (Amy) Lindsay, Corey (Angie) Tharp, Timothy (Raina) Tharp, Aaron (Jill) Leishman, and Luke Leishman, Brad (Raven) Rizer, Nick (Jordan) Rizer, Angel Arellano, Adrian Arellano, Andres Arellano, and in-laws Graciela (Eugenio) Alvear.
