Francisco C Ortiz
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Francisco (Frank) C. Ortiz on August 17, 2023, in La Porte, Texas with his children by his side.
Frank is survived by his five wonderful children and their spouses Juan F. and Ernestina Ortiz, Joelda Ortiz Jensen and partner Raul Godoy, Armando and Dulcenea Ortiz, Katie Ortiz and Laney Ortiz. He is also survived by his grandchildren Destiny, Zachary, James, Jovanni, Ariel, Dalton, Sofia, Analia, Maximo; great grandchildren Jazlynn, Amyah, Andrew, Jayden, Emily, Eric, Zayla and Adeli; his sister Josie Crull, brother Jose Juan Ortiz and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Eliodora Ortiz, sister Rosalinda M. Ortiz and brother Paul Ortiz.
Frank was born in Del Rio, Texas on July 24, 1953, and lived in Muscatine, Iowa where he raised his family and had an extensive 40-year career with Bridgestone Bandag.
Frank loved to be in the kitchen or by the grill cooking delicious meals for friends and family. He was an avid mixed martial arts trainer sharing the plethora of knowledge that was never turned away. He loved to attend all the grandkids sporting events, fishing, camping, hunting, shopping at farmers markets, growing veggies and family gatherings.
Frank peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom and cherished memories. Frank was a remarkable man who touched the lives of anyone who crossed his path.
As we bid farewell to our beloved father, his unwavering love, guidance and presence will forever be missed. We take comfort in the acknowledgment that he has found eternal peace.
A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends following the service will be held at 1800 W. Main Street, Baytown, TX 77520.
