Obituary for Charles Wayne Whitaker Sr.
Charles Wayne Whitaker, Sr. passed away at his home on Monday, January 20, 2020 in Huntsville, Texas. Wayne was born November 23, 1938 in Jacksboro, Texas.
In 1958, Wayne graduated from Angleton High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1958 to 1962. He married Vickey Johnson on July 3, 1965 at Greenwood Village Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Wayne retired after 33 years in the insurance business.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bailey and Viola Whitaker; brothers, Bill, Carlton Jean and Robert Whitaker; and sister Mary Lou Stevens.
He is survived by his wife, Vickey of almost 55 years, his sons; Charles Wayne Whiatker, Jr. and wife, Susan, Jason Craig, and Jeffrey Dwayne Whitaker and wife, Genea; and his grandchildren, JC, Travis, Nicholas, Jordan, Brooke and Keith.
