Click here to view all obituariesAt the age of 3 or 4 I was all dressed up and ready to go out with the whole family. Instructions to stay indoors and stay clean while the others got ready must have slipped my mind and outdoors I went. Happily dancing in the rain puddle by the curb, I suddenly heard Daddy Bob sharply calling my name. I looked up and saw him quickly heading toward me and I knew I was in trouble. I looked down at my muddy shoes, never-to-be-white-again socks and mud-splashed dress just as he scooped me up and began to march me into the house as he scolded me for disobeying. Not wanting to disappoint him I knew I needed to make things better, so I took my hand and placed it on his cheek, turned his head to face me, looked into his eyes and said Daddy Bob, you're so pretty. At that, he melted. He hugged me close as he took me inside laughing the rest of the way in.
