I first met Arlene after being invited to speak with the local TEAC Amateur Radio Club & Roman Forest Repeater Club meeting. She was very persuasive in recruiting me to put on a seminar for short outreach classes at Lone Star College. It was quite the adventure! I enjoyed every moment we had together, and I'll always think of her when I volunteer in the future. Her stories on safety challenges she had witnessed were tense and full of genuine human flawed thinking, which to a fellow safety professional was endlessly fascinating as we talked shop. Arlene was an amazing woman, and I feel blessed to have known her.

I had not seen Arlene in years but I always liked her and thought of her often. She was a special person and was nice to everyone. I am sorry for you and your family loss.
