My whole life I've learned many lessons, but one has been embedded in my mind like no other. The lesson of hard work is the most valuable thing one may learn. From the day I was brought to the world , I've utilized this. The person to thank for that is my courageous abuelito. He is the definition of altruistic, the man who has shown me and many what it means to put others first. It could take one sit down with him to show you what a real man looks like. He never was one to care about what "majority would do" he did what was right. He never cared about how miserable of a week he was having, when he saw you , he would put that aside. He never once complained about having to bust himself to make a living. He never expressed the pain he endured from a terrible thing named cancer. Growing up I have lived in a house where you work to get what you want. Many kids nowadays are given any and everything they want, which is why this generation is a disaster. Working for what you have should be the way of life for all, although sadly it is not. He went from Mexico and immigratted to the United States where he overcame all that was thrown at him , to make sure his family had a better life. I wouldnt be sitting here right now, if it werent for him. He was and will always be a dedicated , strong , powerful , kind man. I am amazed by the impact he made on us all, my mother who has a consistent work ethic and earns what she has from herself, dependent because those morals that were shown to her while aging. Now passed to me, in his legacy I will honor , to be thankful for all you have, and to make it somewhere , you must work your hardest and push yourself , remember the sky is the limit.

My grandpa has always taught me that success comes from hard work. That is the legacy this wonderful man leaves behind. My grandfather has always been a great inspiration to many. Many people grow up having everything handed to them. This makes people not work hard to obtain what they desire. My grandfather is an admirable man who had to overcome several serious obstacles in order to succeed in life. My Grandpa left his home in Mexico which he loved dearly to give me and my sister a better life. He was selfless, our well being and happiness was more important than his own. He was the kind of man that would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it. I am who I am today because of the love and support he has provided me with. His hard work, teachings, and preseverance will live with me forever. Thank you, Abuelito for instilling the most important values in me. I hope that someday I'll be as good of a grandparent as you were to me. Untill then I'll keep living and loving to the fullest just like you taught me to do "Asta lugo mi quierido Veigo" See you later my dearest grandpa untill we meet again.
