Mark and Ken had a business trip where the night before they were at a spot called Bar Noir and Mark was just yucking it up with the customers staying out way too late. Ken told him before leaving, "Hey, don't forget, we have a meeting at 8am."  Although Mark knew this, his was in entertainment mode.  

Next morning Mark gets up, checks out of his hotel, is ready for Ken's NON existent meeting and rushes downstairs waiting. After about an hour starts calling Ken who doesnt answer, later to find the laugh was on him, it was just a little prank Ken was known to pull! Ken will be missed.

Ken was always willing to help with whatever was needed at work.  However, computers were not his friend.  At work, we kept the computer questions away from him.  This was not his thing.

The past few Falls, Ken joined a group of my friends for a golf trip in Michigan.  Ken was able to pull quotes from movies and TV shows on demand.  Our golf group had to get to know Ken, to understand his sense of humor.  It was so, so dry.  Some of his one liners would take a moment, and then it would be hilarious.

One time during a round of golf, he and his cart partner finished a hole and went to the next.  Understand the holes up there can be a hundred yards from green to tee box through the woods.  I think there was a restroom between two holes.  Something had delayed their partners getting to the next tee box.  Ken and his partner hit there drives.  Well, Ken noticed that looking off the opposite direction of the tee box it looked like another narrow fairway.  Ken heard the other cart coming up, and turned around so he was facing the wrong directon on the tee box, waiting for the other guys to hit.  Both guys hustled up and hit their drives wrong direction.  And Ken calmly walked down to the cart and started to drive off in right direction.

That story will live on forever in our golf group.

We will miss Ken's humor, but more than anything, we will miss his friendship.
