I remember Mr Davis well. From teaching me Texas History there at old Charles Bender Intermediate School to he and Mrs. Davis camping in Garner with my family and the Coleman's many times. He was always good fro a laugh around the campsite. Say hi to Mama, Daddy, and the Coleman's up there sir.

I am the niece of Don and Earline Davis, Barbara Carpenter. I have been a church pianist for 53 years and Uncle Don was a great influence in that part of my life. Everytime we would be together, I would have to play for him to sing or direct a song. He trained me well on how to follow a soloist and a director. Throughout my 53 years I have had many compliments on how well I follow the singer/director and I always give Uncle Don the credit. I loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.

Randy, Your Dad taught Texas History to me at Lakeland in 7th grade as well as some of my brothers and sisters including Allan Griffin Jr. I am proud to say that he influenced us to the point that both Falfa and I were both History majors in college and although I didn't teach, my brother was a longtime middle school teacher in Humble ISD. I think that's a legacy you can be proud of.
