My mother loved and cared about my friends.  While over at my house one day, mother noticed that my friend's skirt needed to be hemmed and did it for her on the spot.  Another time, this same friend was celebrating one of her birthdays and was greeted by my mother down the school halls of Humble High School with cupcakes she had made for her.  Selfless acts of kindness and thoughfulness were just a couple of the great attributes she possessed.
