Obituary for William H. Morgan

William H. Morgan
November 7, 1940 – January 13, 2020
Graveside services for William Henry Morgan, of Houston, will be held at 12:45p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Houston National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 am. Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Atascocita.

Mr. Morgan was born on November 7, 1940 in Savanah, Georgia to parents Thomas Jefferson and Viola Morgan. He passed away on January 13, 2020. He served 32 years in the Army with several tours in Vietnam where he received several honors and is a purple heart recipient. Upon retirement from the military he worked for the Houston Post for several years. He is the father of five children, eight grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. He had a love for fishing, enjoyed bowling, and was a loyal Houston Astros and Houston Texan fan.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Paula Morgan; Son William Morgan; Daughter, Margie Talley; Daughter, Mary Lindquist; Daughter, Victoria Hughes; Son, Stephen Morgan; Grandson, Brian Morgan; Granddaughter, Kimberly Morgan; Grandson, Michael Morgan; Grandson, Mark Shanks; Grandson, Nicholas Shanks; Granddaughter, Lisa Sloan; Grandson, Aaron Hughes; Granddaughter, Ann Hughes, along with 14 Great Grandchildren other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.
