Alan "Woody" Curtis Marquis, 68, was taken to heaven on the 18th of May in Kingwood, Texas surrounded by his 4 children. Alan was born on the 31st of May, 1950 in Houston, Texas to A.C. Marquis and Goldie Ellen Jackson.He was a master of many trades like mechanics and carpentry, yet had a successful career as a Journeyman Electrician in which he always provided for his family. He loved being outside in the countryside, camping,hunting or fishing and there wasn't any moment when he would pass on his favorite BBQ & sweet tea.

His children paid this tribute to him, "Our father was one of the most honest, kind and humorous people you could ever meet, teaching us all the value of hard work and determination. Although our hearts are broken from missing him, we are at peace knowing he is whole again whith his creator and those who had passed before ."

He is survived by his wife,Deborah Erin Hemphil, 3 daughters, 1 son, 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
