Obituary for Fay Laverne Fowler (Williams)

Fay Laverne Fowler (Williams)
Fay Fowler, 91 of Houston, Texas, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord and Savior on Memorial Day, May 27, 2019. She was born on the 8th of October 1927 in Talpa, Texas to loving parents C.L. and Ora Lee Williams. She is survived by her four daughters, Roslyn Miller and her husband Ed, Frances Frizzell and her husband Terry, Anna Watt and her husband Wes, Vivian Smith and her husband I.V. and her “little” brother, C. L. (Chicken) Williams, Jr.
She attended Howard Payne with her sisters, Winona Miles, Virginia Switaj, and Vivian Matthews. She finished her degree many years later attending the University of Houston with her daughter, Roslyn. She went on to become a teacher at Galena Park Elementary for 22 years. She married Ralston Jessup Allen of Houston in 1947 and they spent 35 years together. As a loving wife she cared for him and her parents for many years until their passing. Then she married Alan E. Fowler who sadly passed only after 8 months.
She filled every moment of her life with service to family, church, community and friends, especially her friend Ouida Balke,

She loved her family intensely, even remodeling the house to accommodate large family gatherings. She always tried to provide a favorite treat to each member there. She showed up for special occasions such as helping her daughter at school, attending band performances, and programs involving awards and/or accomplishments of a family member. She made us each feel special and will truly be missed.

Even after suffering a stroke she remained fiercely independent. She showed us a determination, strength and courage that will be hard to live up to. We thank God for the staff and host of support at Regency Village in Webster, Texas and wish to thank you personally.

If you care to contact her, the new address is Heaven where she is waiting for you there.

Fay was an great supporter of Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse. In honor of Fay, the family is asking family and friends to make donations to this wonderful charity on her behalf.
