Gregory Lynn Goolsby was born on March 19, 1953 to Sybol Tabor and Romie Welton Goolsby in Winnfield, Louisiana. He worked as an electrician all his life. He had a passion for hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family. He was a great outdoor BBQ cook and he enjoyed working on school projects with his kids and planning family get togethers. Gregory and his brother was the proud owners of their family company Accents in Wiring .

He leaves behind a wife of 41 years, Carolyn Marie Goolsby; children Ray Anthony, Rachel Marie, Gloria Jean, Sara Anne, Theresa Elaine, Regina Elizabeth, Angela Michelle, and Daniel William. Mother Sybol Tabor and sisters Linda Louise and Mary Francis. He has been blessed with five grandchildren and one on the way, along with two adopted grandchildren Nathan Cole, Gregory Ray, Lizzie Jean, Adam Parker, Daniel Louis, Regina Mae, and Michael Izak. He also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Gregory is preceeded in death by his father Romie Welton Goolsby, his brother Michael Glynn Goolsby, niece Tori Nicole Tabor, and father-in-law William Peter Gergen.
