Blanche Ashcraft, 89, of Kingwood went to be with her Lord Tuesday, October 30, 2018. She was born Wednesday, May 15, 1929 to Thomas and Hattie Barham. Blanche is preceded in death by husband, Carl E. Ashcraft and numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by children, Susan Ashcraft; Kevin Ashcraft and wife Kimberly and Scott Ashcraft. Grandchildren, Taylor, Garrett and Grant Ashcraft, as well as lifelong friend, Doris Fowler. Blanche was a member of the Humble Church of Christ and loved her church family. A visitation will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Porter from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Porter. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park North, in Porter, Texas.
Carl and Blanche moved to Houston in 1956 and were residence of the Kingwood area for over 30 years. Blanche was a Real Estate Broker in the Kingwood/Humble area for many years and was very active in several social and school clubs in and around Kingwood. She was an Honorary Life Member of the Parent Teachers Association, having served as President of PTA for several schools, Dad’s Club member, CO-President of the Humble Band Boosters, charter member of the Timber Grove Little League, which she and Glen helped to start, and was the first woman President of the North Hills Estates Civic Club. She will be missed by so many friends and loved ones.
