Earlene Joyce Slaughter, 92, of Crosby went to be with her Lord Wednesday, September 26, 2018. She was born Wednesday, April 14, 1926 in Brenham, TX. Joyce is survived by a daughter, Susie Slaughter; grandchildren; Tonya Clifton, Robert Watkins, Wyatt Watkins and wife Shainna; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, E.J. Hartmann and wife Jenny; beloved pets; Sophie, Tommy, Liz and Silver; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, L.W. (Buddy) Slaughter; parents Ed and Olga Hartmann; sister, Nola Dell Kramer. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held 12:00 PM Monday, October 1, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, in Humble, Texas. In leiu of flowers Joyce's family requests donations to be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
