Floyd Fairbanks was born at home in the Brazos River bottom of Clay TX July 3rd 1933, the youngest along with his twin brother in a family of seven children. He was preceded in death by his father, John Franklin Fairbanks Sr., his mother, Rosa Lee (Farquhar) Fairbanks, five brothers, George Washington "Jesse" Fairbanks, Marshall Lee Fairbanks, John F. "Fritz" Fairbanks Jr., David Clinton "Clint" Fairbanks, twin brother Lloyd Fairbanks and sister, Joe Ella (Fairbanks) Wegner.
Waiting eagerly to welcome him with open arms at Heaven's gates were his beloved son Gregory Don Fairbanks and precious bonus daughter Angela (Holcombe) Raines.

Floyd will be tremendously missed and forever loved by his surviving daughter and pride and joy, Kelly (Fairbanks) Martin, her husband Larry Martin Sr., grandchildren, Larry Martin Jr., Katie (Martin) Abbott, her husband, Daniel Abbott and Christian Raines. His great grandchildren, Faith, Jaxon, Weston and Ella Grace Abbott were the sunshine of his golden years along with Fendi his ever present and faithful canine companion.
He also leaves behind a host of extended family who held him in high esteem, and long list of friends and church family.
