Robert “Bob” Dennis Fitzsimmons passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, June 16, 2018. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on December 26, 1949. Growing up in New Jersey, he loved surfing, working on cars, and playing music. He was the lead guitarist in his own band as a teenager. Bob was always intrigued by the cowboy way and eventually moved to Texas. He became the Yankee cowboy, riding horses, chasing cattle, and owned a horse, Arab. Bob was a collector. Not only numerous items but most importantly laughs and smiles, he was always a jokester and made an effort to put a smile on your face. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Fitzsimmons, his mother Evelyn, and his grandson Riley Monteith. He is survived by his wife, Karen, his son Michael and wife Jennifer, son David, son Craig Monteith and wife Kelley, his sister Trish Leavitt and husband John, niece Jennifer Nethery and husband Richard, seven grandchildren and other family and friends.

Funeral services with be held Saturday, June 22nd at 2 pm at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Tx. A viewing will be held Friday, June 21st from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity.
