Meredith Barnes was born December 23, 1926 in Brockton, Massachusetts and passed away April 28, 2018 in Pasadena, Texas.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Hulen and husband Donny, Scott Barnes, Kelly Thompson; by her grandchildren, Branden Niemi and wife Carrie, Josh Thompson and wife Summer, Justin Thompson and wife Danielle, Heath Hulen and wife Michelle, Karen Johnson and husband David, Meredith Watts, Holley McLendon and husband Stephen, Robbie Barnes; by her great-grandchildren, Skylynn Niemi, Blaze Niemi, Lori Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Miles King, Clayton King, Gabriel Thompson, Nathaniel Thompson, Cassie Thompson, Trinity Hulen, Colby Dean and wife Megan, Chase Alldredge, Kalee Rae Johnson, Katie Watts, Chad Watts, great-great-granddaughter, Ainsleigh Grace Dean; sister, Joyce Marshall, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Barnes, and two of her sons, John Robert Barnes and Wayne Edward Barnes.
Meredith was a homemaker who enjoyed raising cows (all of which had names) and also raising and showing Boxers . Growing up in the North she loved ice skating and loved going back to New England to visit.
