Obituary for Louise McClelland (Lewis)

Nelda Louise McClelland, 87, passed away on April 23, 2018.
Louise was born in Dayton, Texas on January 30, 1931 to Ed and Allie Mae Lewis. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Lawrence ‘Mac’ McClelland, daughter Patty Echols and husband Tommy, daughter Carol McClelland, granddaughter Elyse Rountree, sisters Frances Koen and Anna Culbertson, brother William Lewis, and numerous nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

Louise spent her life loving others. She was a devoted wife and extraordinary mother and grandmother. If you knew Louise, you know that she had a green thumb and could grow just about anything. Even though she hadn’t worked in her yard in years, to this day Louise’s flowers continue to bloom.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Louise.

Celebration of Life services will be announced at a later date.
