Evelyn Jeanette Archer Beaty, 82, passed away on April 16, 2018. She was born in Humble, Texas on February 23, 1936 and is a direct descendant of Joseph Dunman, one of the original settlers of Humble. She attended Humble High School and worked for Humble Food Market for over 16 years and Goolsby Testing for 12 years.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her Husband: J.T. Beaty; Parents: Edgar Marlin Archer and Margie Lee Archer and Siblings: Herschel Archer and Ronnie Archer.
Left to cherish her memory are her Siblings: Marge Stewart, Janelle McShan, Children: Debbie and Robert Manley, Bob and Pat Beaty; Bill and Karen Beaty, Waylan and Yolanda Rhodes, Peggy and Keith Goolsby, Gail and Wally Webster, Ricky and Becky Beaty, Marvin Beaty, Charles Beaty, Carol and Rick Clay, Cindy and Guy Robertson, Harold and Shirley Beaty; Grandchildren: Renee Haney, Chris Manley, Marc Manley, Ryan Beaty, LeAnn Jensen, Josh Beaty, Brandon Beaty, Zach Beaty, William Goolsby, Kellea Shirley, Matthew Rhodes, Amber Rhodes, Brandt Rhodes, Jessica Rodriquez, Josh Smith, Nicole Parker, Ricky Beaty, Raelynn McNeil, Taylor Beaty, Jacob Beaty, Justin Beaty, Jonathan Clay, Tim Clay, Ben Clay, Rene Grossimon, Brian Beaty, Michael Beaty; 33 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was well known for her wedding/birthday cakes, wedding catering, organizing the Food Pantry, Benevolence Ministries and Thanksgiving Gift Basket at Humble First Assembly Of God Church. She was honored as “Mother of the Year” by Humble First Assembly of God Church and received a Proclamation designating “Evelyn Beaty Day” by Mayor Wilson Archer.
Among the many joys of Evelyn’s life, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed girls’ day with her sisters. She supported all 10 children in sports and other activities while many times working three jobs. Evelyn was active in church and with family and friends. She loved playing 42 and loved drinking coca cola and wouldn’t drink anything else!
