Obituary for Barney Elmer Bryant

Barney Elmer Bryant, 76, passed away on February 4th, 2018 in Sugarland, Texas. Just short his 77th birthday.
Barney was born February 22, 1941, in Delhi, Louisiana, to parents James R. and Annie (Seymour) Bryant. After growing up faster than most boys, he left to serve his country in the USMC. After serving his country proudly, and while raising his own family, he worked for Graybar Electric as a warehouse manager. He retired from there in June of 1996 after 32 years of faithful and dedicated service. Throughout Barney’s life he enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing with his daughters to old style country music (even teaching both of his girls to properly waltz). He loved watching the “Old Westerns” claiming John Wayne and Clint Eastwood as among his favorite actors. As he grew older he swapped hunting and fishing for playing golf and became a member of the Newport Golf Club. He grew to such an avid golfer that ultimately he carried a 5 handicap and brought his girls to many golf tournaments.
Dearly loved by those who knew him, He will be missed by those who survive him. Survivors include his Daughters; Dana Kelly (husband Matt)and Cynthia Downey: Grandchildren; Kennedy, Grant and Zachary Kelly of Sugarland, Caleb Hymel of Cypress and Dylan Downey of Houston
